New Year’s Read 3!
Three years ago, as a way to be less lonely during those dark pandemic days of 2020, I came up with this idea to read to the wonderful people in my life: family and friends new and old, distant and near, those I haven’t spoken to in ages and those I talk to every day. You could say it was my attempt at low-fi performance art and a way to combine two of my favorite things — literature and connection. Since then, it has become my favorite way to kick off the new year… and I’m inviting you to join me!
How does it work? You sign up, I read to you. That’s it.
Fill out the Google form below and I will:
hand select a passage from one of my favorite books or poems just for you;
call you on the phone during our scheduled time; and
read it to you, along with some other gems to open the performance, plus some time for general catching up. (the call should last about 30-45min.)
